There are a lot of instruments that are positioned vertically when played by a user. One of the most popular upright instruments is the electrical upright bass. There are other instruments played the same way especially in recital or orchestra. The electrical upright bass or EUB or also called stick bass is widely used in many events today.

The electrical upright bass originated from double bass instrument. The electrical upright bass is planned or created artistically so that it will be as efficient as the double bass instrument. In fact, it is made to improve the usability and sound quality of double bass instruments.

The electric upright bass can be as light as the double bass instrument. The only small difference between the two is the the electric upright bass’ ability to create a more amplified and unique sound since it is powered by electricity. The double bass instrument though sounds more raw, real and original compared to the double bass instrument.

Just like the double bass instrument, the electrical upright bass is made in a way that it could fit the musician’s body. It is played upright against the musician’s body. There are many different sizes of electrical upright bass and it is important that a person is aware of his own body and the size of a certain electrical upright bass.

It is important that the instrument’s size matches the musician’s body so that it will more comfortable on the musician’s part and will have better posture on the part of the musician.

You may use the electrical upright bass instrument while standing or sitting. Some instrumentalists may complain about neck problems when standing since it gives bad posture. On the other hand, the sitting position is quite better and more relaxing.

When buying an instrument, you may opt to buy a cheap one but never forget that cheap ones may create undesirable sound. Depending on your purpose of buying an instrument, you may buy the cheap or the expensive one. Just make sure that you are aware of the audio quality of the instrument. However, if you are a professional musician who plays in gigs or concerts, you may want to buy the more expensive ones.

If electrical upright bass isn’t available, you may look for other types of stringed instruments or basses. There are basses that are light and portable that would be good for traveling.
