When we decide to take things such as beginner violin lessons, we may not always know where to start. Our friend’s may or may not know of a good instructor. In the case that no one does, then we are left to do the searching on our own.
One thing that is imperative that you learn, when first learning the violin, is positioning of the violin. You need to know the proper way to hold the violin, in order to play. For centuries, there has been a certain way known for holding the violin and it has not changed.
